101 Uses for Ribbon

Using Ghosts

People love the Heidi Swapp ghosts shapes I sell, but aren’t quite sure how to use them, or adhere them. Here are some basic ideas to get you started.

  1. Attach with ribbon. Tie a ribbon around a piece of the ghost, and then use a glue dot to adhere to the page. This works particularly well with the arrows, stars and hearts.
  2. Staple: Staple ghosts to the page either with plain or decorative staples.
  3. Attach with brads or eyelets or clips
  4. Paint: Smear some wet paint in the background, then adhere. For some extra stick power, add in some Diamond Glaze.
Hint: this tip works well for transparencies and vellum quotes as well!
  5. Dangle: add Punch a hole and make a tag out of it, or dangle it like a charm.
  6. Sew them on: Use your sewing machine or stitch them through manually. Hint, if sewing manually, use your paper piercer to make the holes first!
  7. Paint the edges
  8. Alcohol or pigment ink the edges (if using pigment, sand them first to accept the ink)
  9. Layer them over your title for a multi dimensional effect.
  10. Let your imagination run wild!
